So, this section of the site is going to detail some of the playtesting going on regarding some alternative setting I am working on for Free League Publishing's 4th Edition of Twilight 2000.
It's actually the first edition I've owned and played, mainly due to my love for Free League and their Year Zero Engine game system, though it has been modified quite a bit from the original versions used in Mutant Year Zero and Coriolis The Third Horizon.
I'm adding in *something different* that my players only have a vague idea of so far from our discussions in session zero, where they created their characters using the standard Lifepath Generator in the Player's Handbook.
We ended up with Bill Wilde (played by Matthew), a British career criminal, Layla Zahar (played by Mohammed) an Egyptian doctor and Harold Brookbeck III (played by Jerry), a rich American college drop-out who ended up being conscripted into the US 5th Mechanised Infantry shortly before the failed fightback that was Operation Reset.
The first session starts as the trio decide to leave their current location on the outskirts of Kalisz after hearing rumours of a new Soviet advance heading their way.
